The sweet return
There’s something quietly magical about coming home after being away for a while.
You step through the door, and even before you unpack, you feel it, that gentle sense of knowing.
The way your body relaxes into spaces it remembers.
The smell of your apartment that somehow hasn’t changed. The small rituals that come back instantly, like muscle memory.
Coming home isn’t just about geography. It’s about reconnection.
Familiar places, new eyes.
After months in a different city, country, or rhythm, everything back home looks just a little different. Not because it changed, but because you did. And that’s the beautiful part.
You notice details you used to overlook. The bakery on the corner. The way the light comes through your kitchen window. The familiar route that once felt ordinary now feels almost poetic.
You see your roots more clearly when you’ve been away.
And it’s not just the place, it’s the people.
The warm catch-up chats. The long hugs. The shared laughter over things only they would understand. There’s a depth in those conversations that doesn’t need explaining.
The joy of routines that welcome you back.
There’s a strange comfort in returning to your old habits.
Your usual coffee mug. Your go-to walking path. Your playlist for mornings. Your 5.30 Pm gym sesh.
These small, quiet things can feel like anchors, reminders that no matter how far you go, there’s a version of you that still belongs here.
And at the same time, you bring something new back with you.
A story. A shift. A perspective. Travel and time away have a way of widening your lens.
Coming home is where you integrate what you’ve learned.
Home is a feeling.
Maybe it’s not about choosing between here and there.
Maybe home lives in both places. Or maybe it lives in you.
Coming home is the reminder that you’re never starting from scratch, you’re layering. Building. Returning to parts of yourself that matter, while adding new ones along the way.
It’s not always dramatic.
Sometimes it’s just sitting on your couch, breathing deeply, and thinking: Yes. This feels right.
Have you ever felt at home? Sometimes, home is a person, and that person is you.
Belonging and inclusion are values I’ve had to intentionally cultivate in my own journey.
They are now at the heart of how I show up for my clients.
In every session, I want my clients to feel at ease, free to be fully themselves, truly heard, and deeply understood. I create a space where they can bring their most vulnerable parts because they feel safe enough to do so.
I want them to know I am fully present for them, because I genuinely am.
